Codes and Conventions of a comedy panel show
- upbeat music, fast pace and loud soundtrack
- contestants are sat around a panel which can easily be seen to represent two teams
- current affairs montage title sequence, sometimes animated
- can hear audience clapping and cheering before you see them
- set is backlit
- camera zooms over audience to host, and then pans or cuts to contestants as they are introduced
- there are many cameras filming, that show many different angles
- normally 30 minutes long, sometimes an hour
- often after the watershed time because of the crude language
- recognizable host
- often have captains on the team and they are there every episode
