He is usually seen as his alter-ego Keith Lemon who is known for being rather brash and a wannabe womanizer. But in real life, Leigh Francis is in fact a family man. Leigh Francis is an English stand-up comedian, actor, director, producer, writer, and voice artist. His major television breakthrough occurred when Channel 4 offered him a £250,000 deal to produce a series called Bo' Selecta! and this was where his television character started to form.

Codes and Conventions of a comedy panel show

• upbeat music, fast pace and loud soundtrack
• contestants are sat around a panel which can easily be seen to represent two teams
• current affairs montage title sequence, sometimes animated 
• can hear audience clapping and cheering before you see them
• set is backlit
• camera zooms over audience to host, and then pans or cuts to contestants as they are introduced 
• there are many cameras filming, that show many different angles
• normally 30 minutes long, sometimes an hour
• often after the watershed time because of the crude language
• recognizable host
• often have captains on the team and they are there every episode
